Fujimusume
“Fujimusume” is one of the most famous dance repertoires.
The original story is that a young girl in a souvenir’s paint in Genroku era slipped out of a paint, “Ōtsu paints”, becomes a fairy and falls in love with a man.
The girl peeks at the man from a lattice. In the dance, bones of the fan are used to resemble the lattice.
The fan makes an impression of not only the cooler but also the tool for showing dance better.
